In the clip, fire Crews were seen making frantic effort to bring down more than 5-acre brush fire in Santa Clarita.

However, the inferno had burned three homes and threatened dozens more on Monday, forcing a lot residents to evacuate voluntarily in fear of the unknown.

You may think of injuries, but… There were no immediate reports of injuries. However, two homes on Alder Drive and another one on Trumpet Drive were still in flames, sending thick black smoke up the skies.

According to reports The Ventura County Fire Department sent a quick strike team to help out.

The Ventura County strike team reportedly paraded more than thirty crew members manning six fire engines, along with their battalion chief.

The team had earlier formed in Piru before heading towards Santa Clarita at about 6:45 p.m. local time.

The wildfire near Santa Clarita prompted mandatory evacuations from the authorities for the first time on Saturday.

The blaze, dubbed the South Fire, began around 3 p.m. on Thursday and burned near Interstate 5 and Calgrove Boulevard according to online sources.

As of about 8 p.m., it had already burned more than 175 acres of land but the authorities said it was 30 percent contained, Los Angeles County fire officials also reported it.

Many firefighting helicopters and other aircraft had been at the scene battling flames near the freeway since then.

For travelers and commuters, it is worthy to note that Newhall Avenue has remained closed between Sierra Highway and Railroad Avenue.

Dockweiler Drive is closed at Sierra Highway. Moreover, Golden Valley Road was an alternate route.

The clip contain Footage from AIR7 HD showing flames lapping up the back of a hillside where the Terrace Apartments complex sat before.

At a point it appeared part of the mansion caught fire, but the brave firefighters were nearby with hoses and bristly worked out to put an end to the fire and keep the hillside flames at bay.

The fire then appeared to fly in automation brushing farther up the hillside thereby igniting the top of one of the apartments in the property.

Water-dropping helicopters and firefighters on ground responded to the fire on that apartment through the thick smoke.
