The mobile library has started again every forthnight on Fridays ( Foleys Bar Inch 1.00pm – 1.30pm, Annasacaul community centre 2.45pm – 3.15pm) with effect from 6th May.
Volunteer hour
We all love Annascaul, and it’s time to freshen the village up with a bit of weeding, tidying and general cleansing. Why not come along for one hour only every Tuesday evening at 7pm – 8pm. Meet at front of the Community Care Centre at 7pm sharp.

Annascaul lotto
There was no winner last week, congratulations to the €40 winners. Next week’s jackpot is €2,900. Thank you to everyone who supports the Lotto. Tickets can be purchased in local shops and the Annascaul Post Office.
GAA/Coiste na nÓg
Save the date! The Kelloggs Cul camp will take place in Annascaul from 25th to 29th July. Exciting times ahead for Annascaul GAA & Coiste na nOg as they begin the Clubhouse upgrade project. We are hoping for support from the community.
Feile na Bealtaine
Annascaul café is running two events during the May holiday weekend for Feile na Bealtaine. The first work shop is with Liz Brookes and will be flower arranging and the use of flowers for design and for practical use through flower jewellery, flower crowns and edible flowers and in teas. Suitable for all ages. Cost is €10. Call 086 8035464 to book.
The second is with Sinead Rock. It is for children and will entail reading, mindfulness and little yoga, – letting the kids write words that make them so full of life and try a little art. Cost is €12.
Artist Trading card drawing class with three words that could spark their imagination. They trade the card with anyone in the group – Material and watercolour cards will be provided Cost is. Call 086803 5464 to book.
Parish Masses
If you are feeling healthy and well, you are encouraged to attend any Mass at this time. It will no longer be necessary to wear facemasks at Mass. However, should people wish to continue to wear masks, they are welcome to do so.considering returning to Mass, now is a good time. You are welcome to attend either the weekday Mass or weekend Mass as the Sunday obligation is still lifted.
The following measures will remain in place: (1) Communion can only be received in the hand for the moment. (2) Hand sanitisation is advised. (3) You can place your offering for the offertory collection in the building fund boxes at the back of the churches. Your cooperation is much appreciated. Parishioners are encouraged to attend Mass in a nearby Church if there is no Mass in their nearest Church.

St Brendan’s AC
St Brendan’s AC had a busy day at the Kerry Athletics masters and senior track and field championships on Sunday in An Ríocht track. Medals were won in a wide variety of jumps, throws, sprints, distance, relays and walks. Juvenile training ahead of county championships: this Wednesday, U8-U11s in ARC, 6-7pm and U12s and older will be in action from 7-8pm in the ARC also. Friday in An Ríocht from 5.30pm-7pm and see details for the bus on Facebook. Walks sessions for juveniles on Monday, 7pm-7.45pm, ARC perimeter.
Seniors/masters: Thursday 7pm Aquadome, Tralee carpark. Monday, 7pm meeting at Banna boathouse. Adult walks sessions on Tuesdays in ARC and check Facebook for details.

The Parents Association are holding a Clothing Collection on Tuesday 3rd May. Drop off point- School barrier only, member of staff will collect from there. Free Electrical & Battery Recycling
ERP in conjunction with Kerry County Council will be hosting an Electrical Recycling Event on Friday 20th May From 10am to 4pm, in Supervalu Car Park. Any item that has a plug on it or batteries in it will be accepted. Come early to avoid disappointment.
Ballybunion Hospice Walk
The Ballybunion branch of the Kerry Hospice had a lovely walk on Good Friday and would like to thank all those who walked and donated to the Kerry Hospice for this very worthy cause.
Choir Singers Required

Cashen Vale Boxing Club
Come along to our club in Sandhill Road Ballybunion every Saturday at 12 Noon, every Wednesday at 6.30 pm. The Ballybunion meals on wheels service will be delivered 3 days a week, meals will be delivered on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Anyone wishing to avail of delivery please contact Eileen Fogarty on 086 2234 965 or Con McCarthy on 087 418 4241. The areas covered are Ballybunion, Lisselton, Asdee and Ballylongford. The dinner will be delivered to your door by one of the men at the cost of €6 per meal.
