An all-new adventure is making its way to the National Geographic Explore VR app: Machu Picchu.

This Oculus Studios-published app was released at the launch of Quest back in May. Developed by Force Field VR, the interactive experience takes you to extreme places on the planet. Flavourworks has raised $3.8 million in funding for its interactive movie games that fuse together live-action video with interactive gameplay.

Flavourworks has created a “touch video” technology that fuses interactive gameplay with live-action videos. The game has full-motion video, complete with actors and real-world environments. Take-Two: The Outer Worlds is ‘outperforming expectations’

Publisher Take-Two Interactive says that it is happy with the launch of The Outer Worlds. Take-Two subsidiary Private Division published the space role-playing adventure from developer Obsidian on October 25. That put it outside of the company’s Q2 earnings reporting period, but Take-Two said that the game should have a noticeable impact on its Q3 results.

“It’s outperforming our expectations handily,” Take-Two chief executive Strauss Zelnick said today on a conference call with investors. “We’re very happy.”

Activision Blizzard hits Q3 earnings targets with strong World of Warcraft Classic results

Activision Blizzard reported today that its earnings for the third quarter ended September 30 beat Wall Street’s expectations on both earnings and revenues. The company had a big launch of World of Warcraft Classic during the quarter, and that helped drive the audience much higher in both Asia and the West, the company said.

Activision Blizzard’s core businesses include games like Overwatch, Call of Duty, and World of Warcraft on consoles and PC and its Candy Crush mobile games.

World of Warcaft Classic drove subscriptions to record growth for a quarter

World of Warcraft Classic has been a big success to Activision Blizzard, with the company revealing today that the retro release has driven subscription numbers to their biggest quarterly increase in history.

Classic came out on August 26. World of Warcraft players pay for the same subscription to have access to the regular game and Classic, which runs servers based on how WoW was before the launch of any expansions. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare outselling Black Ops 4 by healthy margin

Activision Blizzard reported today that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is outselling last year’s Black Ops 4 title by a percentage in the “teens,” the company announced in its earnings report for the third quarter ended September 30.
